Sky Factory Luminous SkyCeilings for Radiology
Most radiological procedures, diagnostic as well as therapeutic, can induce anxiety in patients. Sky Factory Luminous SkyCeilings provide engagingly beautiful illusions of real skies, clouds, overhead trees and blossoms that foster genuine physiological responses of relaxation and comfort - beneficial to anyone undergoing a medical procedure. Many radiological procedures require lowered light levels during laser targeting and set up. Sky Factory Luminous SkyCeilings can be ordered with optional dimming capabilities that allow light levels to be remotely monitored and adjusted. Recommendations For ceiling mounted laser targeting systems (such as used in Linacs), or other ceiling mounted equipment, we recommend "splitting" the installation so that the sky image is not pierced to accommodate the equipment. Split installations can actually enhance the perception of depth in the overhead image by encouraging the mind’s eye to fill in the gap of the SkyCeiling’s continuous image.
