Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center
Sentara Williamsburg Hospital, designed by HDR, Inc., is a 139-bed replacement facility designed as an affiliate of the National Planetree Alliance.
Sentara integrates the Planetree Model’s guidelines for a comfortable and warm patient-centered environment that allows for solitary and social activities, as well as providing clarity of layout, abundant light, fresh air, acoustical control, and plentiful views to the gardens outside. The enclosed and shielded MRI suite incorporates an array of MRI Luminous SkyCeilings™ that dissolve the ceiling into a compelling illusion of an expansive, tree-lined sky.
